The Swiss Society of New York is a leading cultural organization providing a platform for Swiss, Swiss-Americans or friends of Switzerland in the New York Tri-State Area. In 2012 we celebrate our 130th Anniversary!
We are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and our mission is to encourage the extensive historical friendship between the United States and Switzerland and to support Swiss culture and heritage in the New York Tri-State Area and other regions of the United States.
We are supported by the efforts of a volunteer team of Officers and Board of Directors, which are committed to providing a wide range of culturally stimulating and exciting events. Our annual gala fundraiser, the Swiss Ball, is a cornerstone event of the larger Swiss community. Each year we honor a uniquely successful Swiss person or institution, and our recognition extends further through the Swiss Society Fellowship. This increasingly important grant funds exciting projects in the legacy of the honoree.
In addition to our goal is to increase interest in Switzerland and its rich culture and heritage as well as the achievements of Swiss immigrants in the United States, we provide a platform to exchange ideas and make new business contacts and/or personal friends who are interested in Switzerland and its affairs (check out our monthly Swiss Networking Event).
If you are interested in a membership, please send us a completed membership application form. Your membership fee may be tax deductible as allowed for by the Internal Revenue Service.
Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to meeting you at one of our events.
Sincerely,
Beat F. Reinhart
President
