The Swiss Society of New York is inviting their members to a private tour of:

The Red Book of C.G. Jung: Creation of a New Cosmology
During the First World War Carl Gustav Jung embarked on an extended self-exploration he called a confrontation with the unconscious. At the heart of this exploration was The Red Book, a large, illuminated volume he created between 1914 and 1930. The manuscript, which consists of calligraphic script in both Latin and Jung’s native German and incredible painted illustrations, contains the kernel of his later work. This exhibition marks the first public presentation of Jung's Red Book, possibly the most influential unpublished work in the history of psychology.

Bruce G. Parent M.A., M.F.A., who will lead the tour, is a Jungian analyst licensed art therapist in private practice in the East Village of Manhattan. He received an MA from New York University in Art Therapy and an MFA in painting from the School of Visual Arts.

Mandala: The Perfect Circle
The mandala, one of Himalayan Buddhism's most ubiquitous symbols, is created as an artistic aid for meditation. Depicting a realm that is both complex and sacred, the mandala is a visualization tool meant to advance practitioners toward a state of enlightenment.

RMA Chief Curator Martin Brauen, a native Swiss, will lead the tour of the Mandala exhibition.
