The Swiss Society of New York is proud to kick off the Albert Gallatin 250th Anniversary Roundtable series in New York. The project is lead by the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington D.C.

In conjunction with the Swiss Consulate in New York, we are working on the local events. The first is the launch of Nicholas Dungan's book "Gallatin: America's Swiss Founding Father." The Swiss Society is a supporter of this important first book of a key figure in the development of the United States.

Albert Gallatin was a statesman, pioneer, Senator, Congressman, instrumental in the Louisiana Purchase, the longest running Secretary of the Treasury, and founder of New York University.
