Swiss Ball 2009 with Guest of Honor Dieter Meier |
The monthly Networking Event is extremely successful with two to three dozen participants. It takes place on the first Tuesday of every month at the restaurant Naples 45 located in the Met Life Building next to Grand Central Station. Please drop in from 6 to 8 pm.
The Swiss Ball 2009 will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the Pierre Hotel. We are excited to announce that the Guest of Honor will be Dieter Meier. Mr. Meier is an extraordinary musician and conceptual artist, who is probably best known for the music group Yello. The Swiss Ball will take place under the Patronage of Ambassador Christoph Bubb and Mrs. Regula Bubb. I am pleased that we are joined by the organizers from the prior Swiss Ball: Mrs. Bubb, Honorary Chairperson of the Swiss Ball; Ms. Jeannette Seifert, Chairperson of the Swiss Ball 2009; and Mrs. Christine Hubacher, Chairperson of the Silent Auction.
Applications for the inaugural Swiss Award will open in the next few weeks. We are proud to announce that it will be granted in recognition of the professional field of the Swiss Ball 2008 Guest of Honor Henry Haller. Swiss or Swiss-American applicants furthering their professional development in the culinary arts should apply for the $10,000 grant. Detailed information will be available on our website.
In the coming weeks, I also ask you to look for the membership renewal letter. Membership in the Swiss Society gives you membership discounts and access to exclusive events. It is tax deductible as allowed by law.
Should you have any questions about our events and activities, please feel free to contact me at info@swisssocietyny.com or check out our website www.swisssocietyny.com. I look forward to seeing you at our events.
Kind regards,
Beat F. Reinhart
